When my family moved to Chattanooga in 1975 from Richmond, VA, Toby, Lois, Valerie, Hunter, and Catherine were our earliest friends, and the three children still are.

My father tells me a story that Toby's McCallie classmate, the late, Jack Robinson of Dayton, TN, told him that Toby was the "most brilliant man that ever lived in Chattanooga".
