I met Charlie some years ago when my grandson began as a Cub Scout in Scottsboro. From the moment I met him I liked him; he was that kind of guy. He made everyone feel important and respected and he always had time to listen and share his knowledge. I for one, had a great deal of respect for him and his contributions to the development of the scouts he served and his service to Scottsboro and the nation.. We'll all miss him.
