It was a sad day when I heard about Jere, and it is with a heavy heart that I post this now. He and his smile will be sadly missed. The family is in our hearts and prayers.
What a shock to read about Jere's passing! I treasure all the memories of our times together with those Civil War Reenactments...Bridgeport's will never be the same! May God continue to bless you and the rest of the family left behind....
I am so deeply saddened to hear about Coach. We shared many Thursday night battles with each other on the football field. Win or lose he always had a smile on his face and was a man that just loved life. I will never forget many of the talks we had over the years talking football. I remember one in particular one we had during my first year of coaching football. He told me this before our first game with each other. "Coach, one of us is going to win and one of us is going to lose, but after the game we will shake hands and still be good friends." I will always remember how coach always pulled for my team to win when we weren't playing against his "Bridgeport Tiger Pride" as he always called them. I will never forget Coach and the encouragement and kind words he always had for me every time we spoke. My biggest regret is that I am currently out of the country and will be unable to attend his service.

So sorry for the loss of a friend, coach, and leader in the community! Jere will be missed and never forgotten by anyone that has known and loved him! BMS will never be the same without him!
