I was sorry to hear of the passing of Lanny Evans. I knew Lanny through the Jackson County Education. We both worked as teachers, though never at the same school. As long as I knew of his teaching it was at Hollywood. My sympathy is extended to remaining family members. I know he is rejoicing again being alongside his wife, Judy, as they rest in a better home than this earth has to hold.
I’m so sorry to hear of Lanny’s passing. He and I were friends from elementary through high school. I had lost touch with him and we had reconnected on Facebook a few years ago. I enjoyed reading his posts. RIP my friend.
Mr. Evans was a very young man just out of college when he was my math teacher at Hollywood, Alabama in 1970-1973. He was a really good teacher.
