Mary Jo was a personal friend and a colleague. She was always the epitome of fairness and compassion. She loved her job, her family and her community. She will be truly missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
I was fortunate to have served with Mary Jo on the Faculty of Old Stevenson High School and to have been privileged to have heard her beautiful music at both church and community gatherings. She was a lovely person and I valued her friendship. My sincere sympathy to all in her large circle of family and friends.

HUGE Love to Mrs. Lankford. She was one of the few that looked after this "troubled" boy and cared enough to be tough on me when I needed it, loved on me when I needed it and was always one of my biggest fans. I will never forget you or your wisdom of which I learned much on your Front Porch and in your office in trouble. With you there was not black or white, it was just human to human. Love you lady! :)
