Maxine was loved by everyone who ever really knew her. She served her family and country by being the rock behind one of the finest career Marines to ever serve. She married Lt. Col. Gus J. George in 1951, after he fought in the major battles in the South Pacific during World War II.

Maxine cherished their love and union of 38 years and took care of Gus for over 5 years, after a major Stroke, until his death in 1989.
Her devotion to her family was unconditional and neverending until her passing on Saturday.
She leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her, but will always be in their hearts and sprits, and bring a smile with every memory.
No grandmother ever loved her grandchildren, Jonathan, Janna, Gus and Colin more. They will miss her wonderful holiday meals and special warm hugs.
We will miss you forever, Maxine and will see you in Heaven as God wills it.
