A. C. Wooden, Sr., 81 of Stevenson, AL, died November 18, 2011 at his home. He is the son of the late Bill Walter "Willie" and Rosa Lee Pemberton Wooden born January 4, 1930 in Martintown, Alabama. He was a farmer and retired moulder from Tennessee Alloy.
Besides his parents, Mr. Wooden was preceded in death by his son Roy Lee Thomas; daughters Nancy Wooden and Sally Jo Wooden; siblings: Katie Carpenter, Reba Penick, Bill Wooden, Jr. and former wife Roxie Ella Mae Thompson Wooden.
Survivors include his children: Mary Katheren (Greg) Pounders, A.C. Wooden, Jr. all of Stevenson, AL; grandchildren: Amy (Jeff) Watson, Matthew (Tammy) Thomas, Holly (Mike) Hathcock, Jonathan (Stephanie) Pounders, Amanda (Joe Gionti) Wooden, Christopher (Melinda) Wooden, Jason (Lorie) Wooden; daughter-in-law Shirley Thomas; 15 great-grandchildren: Cody Redkey, Cole Thomas, Gaven York, Whitney Allison, Abby Allison, Michaela Hathcock, Zane Hathcock, Levi Pounders, Jackson Wooden, Luke Wooden, Kathryn Wooden, Beth Wooden, Madison Wooden, Noah Wooden, Creed Wooden; siblings: Rosa Pearl Ryan, Dimple Cofer, Emily W. Beckett, Henceford Wooden, Edward Wooden and a host of other relatives.
