Rebecca Aline Prater Vaughn, 92 of Stevenson, Alabama died March 1, 2011 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where she was a resident.
Rebecca Aline was the daughter of the late Jack and Josie Austin Prater born February 4, 1919 in Stevenson, Alabama. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Clayburn "Bud" Vaughn. Aline was a retired seamstress with Gaytread Mills in Scottsboro, Alabama. She was of the Pentacostal faith. Aline loved being home working in the flowers in her yard.
Survivors include her daughters: Sue (Barry) Smith of Stevenson, Betty Ann Vaughn of Bridgeport, AL, Peggy (Paul) Morris of Stevenson; grandchildren: Chad Vaughn of Stevenson, Leigh-Ann (Chris) Kittrell of Stevenson, Meredith (Toby) Headrick of South Pittsburg, TN, Michael Young of Bridgeport; great-grandsons: Blake and Matthew Houston of Stevenson; special friends: Lois Gibson of Hollywood, AL and Ina King of Scottsboro, AL; other relatives and friends
Visitation will be Tuesday 5-9 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 2, at 2 PM CST at the funeral home chapel officiated by Comfort Care Hospice Chaplain Paul McDonald.
