Andrew George Engbrock's Obituary
Andrew George Engbrock, 90 of Bridgeport, AL, died February 13, 2019 at Signature Healthcare of South Pittsburg, TN (formerly The Bridge). Visitation will be Sunday, 5-8 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport. The Funeral Service will be 1 PM on Monday, February 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in South Pittsburg, TN officiated by Father Mark Scholz. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport.
Mr. Engbrock was born August 10, 1928 in El Campo, TX to Charles Anton and Rosia Burt Engbrock. Andrew was a Korean War U.S. Army Veteran from 1950 to 1961. He was proud of his service as a cook where he served many officers and some VIPs. He had worked in production control at Avondale Carpet Mill where had worked 29 years before retiring in 1994. Andrew was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes and was Founder, Charter Member and Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus #11542 which celebrated it's 65-year anniversary on February 2, 2019.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Mary Ruth Henson Engbrock; siblings: William C. Engbrock, Eugene Lewis Engbrock, Joseph Engbrock, Paul Fred Engbrock, Barbara Rose Boyer, Gertrude Louise Pausewang, and Maryann Shak.
