Arthur Paul "Doc" Stewart, 72 of Stevenson AL died December 2, 2009 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL from cancer. He had worked at Shaw Industries for 29 years as a blender machine operator. He was born in Gonce, TN on September 1, 1937 to Sam Tipton and Rosie Guess Stewart.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
"Doc" is survived by his wife of 50 years Juanita Louise Oliver Stewart; children: Debbie (Calvin) Crawford, David Stewart all of Stevenson, AL, Jennifer (Josh) Miles of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren: Ashley and Jason Crawford, Trey, Haylen and Theron "Rowdy" Miles; sister Sue (Ferrell) Bradford of Scottsboro, AL and brother William Stewart of Stevenson, AL.
Visitation will be Thursday, 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Friday, December 4, at 11 AM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. James Johnson followed by burial at St. Bonnie Venture Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
