Barry Levoy Grooms, 39 of Tracy City, Tennessee, died March 30, 2014 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee. Barry was the son of the late Cecil Edward and Betty Lucille Tocherrow Grooms born November 4, 1974 in Winchester, Tennessee. He worked as a logger with Chisenall Logging Co. for years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
He leaves his wife of 14 years Christie Marie McDaniel Grooms; children: Brandy Grooms, James McDaniel, Dewayne Grooms, Brandon Grooms, David Earl Grooms and Slater Grooms all of Tracy City, TN; siblings: Katie (John) Smith of Stevenson, AL, Teresa Grooms of GA, Johnny Grooms of TX; nieces,nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be 1 PM CDT Tuesday, April 1, at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Andy Lockhart and Bro. Gary Davenport. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
