Bernice Marie Edwards Evans, 67 of Hollywood, AL, died December 1, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. "Bernie" was the daughter of the late William Macklin and Lucy Cindy Chisenhall Edwards born October 26, 1945 in Stevenson, Alabama. She had worked as a certified nurse assistant at a nursing home for a time. She is a member of the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Bernice was the widow of her husband of 38 years, Charles Franklin "Chuck" Evans.
Survivors include her siblings: Betty (Buford) Mullins of Hollywood, AL, Ernest (Ann) Edwards of Flat Rock, AL, Bobbie Edwards of Hollywood, AL, Peggy (Mike) Cook of Tuscumbia, AL, Jerry Edwards of Scottsboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday 2-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 4, at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Gary Tubb. Interment will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
