Bernice Ivey Rogers, 96 of Bridgeport, AL, passed away June 12, 2011 at her daughter's home in Spring City, TN. Mazie Bernice was the daughter of the late Loe Renzy and Florence Elizabeth Siler Ivey born December 16, 1914 on Crow Mountain in Fackler, AL. Besides her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Harry Rex Rogers; and five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her children: Lois (Carlton) Rogers of Signal Mountain, TN, Linda Gale (Edward) Gibbs of Spring City, TN, James L. (Mary Alice) Rogers of Lilburn, GA; Tommy Rex (Edna) Rogers and Bobby (Marvetta) Rogers all of Bridgeport, AL; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitations: Tuesday 3-8 PM CDT; Wednesday 4-6 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. David Smith. Interment will be Thursday, 10 AM CDT at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
