Bernice Rousseau's Obituary
Bernice Rousseau, 97, of Limrock, passed away from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on February 15, 2024 after a brief illness under Hospice Care with her family by her side. She was a loving, kind and caring wife, mother, and ma-maw.
Bernice was a hard-working housewife and home maker who enjoyed gardening. She spent numerous hours preserving her fresh vegetables by freezing and canning. She attended Union Primitive Baptist Church in Woodville as long as she was able.
Ladies of the Church could always count on Bernice to prepare several dishes for meals for church fellowship for many years. Bernice is survived by her daughter Sharon (Roger) Manning, Grand Children, Shannon (Clint) Black and Ryan Manning, Great Grand Children, Kaleb Black and Teagan Manning, and several nieces and nephews of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, David (Dave) and Mayme Glover Stephens, Brother, Robert and Sister- in- Law, Eloise Stephens and her husband of 73 years Hurshel Rousseau.
The family asks in Lieu of Flowers, Memorial donations be made to Union Primitive Baptist Church, Woodville, Alabama and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, Scottsboro, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Rudder Funeral Home Scottsboro.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Darrel Chambers officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
