Bettie Alice Hookey Rogers, 69 of Stevenson, AL died April 19, 2010 at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN. Bettie was the daughter of the late Joseph Wheeler and Zell Catherine Coburn Hookey born October 25, 1940 in South Pittsburg, TN. She was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School Class of 1958. Mrs. Rogers was a retired bank officer with Bank of Santa Marie in CA.
Besides her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Josephus Rogers; sister Bertha Houchins; brothers: J.R., Clayton, Donald, and Jerre Hookey.
She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Jerrine (William Randall) Wagoner and Katherine Donna Rogers all of CA; granddaughter Joell (Brian) Bungart of OK; brothers: Bob (Sally) Hookey and Ken Hookey all of South Pittsburg, TN; sister-in-law Julia Hookey of Richard City, TN; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be April 22, Thursday, 12 noon until funeral time at 2 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. Interment will be at Caperton Cemetery in Stevenson. www.rudderfuneralhomes.
