Betty Carolyn Russell Albertson, 81 of Chattanooga, TN died July 6, 2010 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.
Betty was the daughter of the late William Lagore and Edith Lillian Alley Russell born May 5, 1929 in Georgia. She had several occupations, one was bus driver for Hamilton Christian Academy. She was a member of Stevenson Advent Christian Church. She loved God and her church.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Johnson Lee Albertson; sisters Joyce R. Grider and Ruby Lee Bowman.
Survivors include: son Gene Albertson of Bolivar, MO; daughters: Carolyn (Bill) Thacker of Chattanooga, Shinel (Marty) Castle of Stevenson, AL; brothers: Walter A. "Bobby" (Jan) Russell of Panama City, FL, Morris Russell of Chattanooga; sister Ruth (Ben) Roberts of Chattanooga; grandchildren: Dwight Albertson, Jr., "J.L." Watson, Jr., Christy Nicole Mull, Andy Albertson, Joshua Allen Castle, Miranda Dawn Castle; great-grandchildren: Kiersten and Jada Watson, Jaxson and Ethan Albertson and Christopher Simmons.
Visitation will be Friday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be3 PM CDT Saturday, July 10, at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Larry Glass followed by interment at Potts Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
