Betty Ruth Kirk McCarver, 74 of Bridgeport, AL, died Sept. 30, 2009 at The Bridge in South Pittsburg, TN. She had worked at Pittsburg Knitting Mill.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest James McCarver, Jr.; parents Henry Lee and Isabelle Thomas Kirk; brothers James, Jack, Billy and Jerry Kirk; granddaughter Donna Sanders.
Survivors are: children: Connie (Vernon) Coffman of Whitwell, TN, James (Sandy) McCarver of Kimball, TN, John (Jo) McCarver of Stevenson, AL, Randy McCarver of Whitwell, TN, Tim (Vivian) McCarver of GA; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers: John Kirk of IL, Donald Kirk of Bridgeport, Kenneth Kirk of Birchwood, TN, Wayne Kirk of Bridgeport, Raymond Kirk of Stevenson, Ronnie Kirk of Dutton, AL, Joe Kirk of Bridgeport,
Visitation will be Thurs. 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Friday, 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. J. B. Jones followed by burial at Bolivar (Old Baptist) Cemetery.
