Alfred and Vernice Branford, in Huntsville, AL.
He departed this life on February 16, 2013, at Marshall Medical Center in Guntersville, AL
He left behind a loving mother Vernice J. Branford of Hollywood, AL, one devoted brother; Howard (Paula) Branford of
Tuscaloosa, AL, 4 sisters; Helen Sue Muwavvkil of South Pittsburg, TN, Betty P. Stewart of Hollywood, AL, Lisa Anna Branford, of Scottsboro, AL, and Brenda Gail Vanzank of Winchester, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father Alfred, two brothers, Carlos and Jerry Branford.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved son; Dustin “Dusty” Branford, of Gadsden, AL, and a very special friend(caregiver)
William (Bubba) Staton of Guntersville, AL.
Billy Ray (Yogi) served in the military after graduating with the Scottsboro class of 1978. His life was the love of his son Dustin whom he nicknamed; :Woobie”. When you saw “Yogie” you
Saw “Woobie” together at all times, either fishing or sitting under the shade trees, or walking their dog “Coco”. He loved all of his nieces and nephews.
