Billy Russell Prince, 85 of Stevenson, AL died August 17, 2009 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He retired from Combustion in Chattanooga after working 27 years as a welder boilermaker. Billy was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Past Master Mason of Boliver Lodge #127.
Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents Willie Joe and Lizzie Mae Bookout Prince and sister Grace Sanders.
Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years Amanda Jean Steele Prince; daughters: Linda (Billy) Jenkins of Sherwood, TN, Gayle (JoJohn) McCraw of Stevenson, AL, Diane (Bill) Huffman of Monteagle, TN; brother Mack Prince of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren: Marsha (Matt) Towry of Huntsville, Will Stacy U.S. Air Force in West Asia, Casey Jenkins of Sherwood, TN, Scott (Gina) Jenkins of Winchester, TN, Shannon (Pam) Jenkins of Cowan, TN, Ashley (Clay) Campbell of Dallas, TX, Aaron Huffman of Long Boat Key, FL, Haley McCraw of Chattanooga, TN, Nick Huffman of Little Rock, AR; great-grandchildren: Dalton and Briley Towry, Gracie and Emily Jenkins, Lily, Rivers, Mary-Mason and Fisher Jenkins, Evy Campbell, Madison Huffman, Dystany and Bailey Huffman; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: C.E. (Helen) Steele of Red Bank, TN, Aileen Wells of Gallatin, TN other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, August 20, at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Larry Glass followed by interment at Stevenson City Cemetery. Donations in memory of Billy Prince may be made to the charity of your choice.
