Blanche JoAnn Harrison's Obituary
Blanche JoAnn Teague Harrison (Jo), born August 10, 1937, In Mineral Springs, Ark., died January 15, 2023, in Scottsboro, Alabama, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Harrison graduated from Mineral Springs High School, in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. She then attended and graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas as a Register Nurse. She worked many years at the Scottsboro Nursing Home and Jackson County Nursing Home as an RN.
Her service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Scottsboro, Alabama.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 beforehand and interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Matt Helms with Rudder Funeral Homes directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eddy Daniel Harrison; her parents Rube Teague and Johnnie Nutt; brother Herschell Teague; sister Janet Smith, and grandson Hunter Armes.
Survivors are her son Mike Harrison (Ann Jay) of Alabaster; daughter Marki Armes (Tim) of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Michael Harrison (Bethany) of Clanton, Lloyd Jay Harrison, Alabaster, Harli Clayton (Phil) Corolla, N.C., Chase Armes, Scottsboro and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harrison was a long-time member and Adult Choir member at Calvary Baptist Church.
