Bobby Joe Stewart's Obituary
Bobby Joe Stewart, 91 of Bridgeport, AL, died March 21, 2018 at Cloverdale Nursing Home in Scottsboro, AL. Bobby was the son of the late Harvey Wilson and Polly Fern Allison Stewart, born September 12, 1926 in Bridgeport, AL. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and had worked as an auxiliary operator at TVA Widows Creek Steam Plant. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Stevenson, AL and the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Dorothy Jean Hollis Stewart.
Survivors include his children: Sheila (Gary) Evett, Bobby Joe "Jody" (Linda) Stewart, Jr., all of Scottsboro; Jackie Lynn (Holly) Stewart of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren: Tammy Guess, Treva Keel, Jamie Harris, Kristie Stewart, Krisy Evitts, Tyler Stewart; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Thursday, 5-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Friday, March 23, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Alacare Hospice Chaplain Neal Smith. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
