Willie Ruth "Boots" Steele, 89 of Bridgeport, AL, died July 8, 2012 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation. "Boots" was the daughter of the late John Willis and Nancy Jane Lawson Steele born April 29, 1923 in Bridgeport, Alabama. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School. "Boots" was a retired merchandiser for J.C. Penney in Chattanooga where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of Concord Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
Besides her parents, Miss Steele was preceded in death by her siblings: Shirley Payne, Van Steele, Odelle Lawson and Florence Steele. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday, 5-8 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Graveside Service will be Tuesday, July 10, at 10 AM CDT at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport officiated by Jack Steele. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
