Buell Calvin Guinn, 84 of Bridgeport formerly of Hollywood, AL, died January 26, 2014 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Mr. Guinn had been a resident at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation for the past several years. Buell was the son of the late William "Willie" Johnny and Gertrude Burton Guinn born January 8, 1930 in Stevenson, AL. He had worked as a steel worker and as a carpenter building homes.
Besides his parents, Mr. Guinn was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Guinn and grandson Ray Lee Guinn.
Survivors include his daughters: Kallene (Dean) Lang of Garden City, MI, Luanne (Jack) Stinson of White Lake, MI and Martha (Dan) Davis of Dewey, OK; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson and Danny Ray (June) Guinn all of MI, Joey Begley of AZ, Sandra Easterday of CA, Julie Easterday-Beals of TX, Amy (Todd) Peterson of WI and Christopher Easterday of TX; 18 Great-Grandchildren; 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren; sisters: Lula Arnold of Summerville, GA and Uza Rich of Stevenson, AL.
Visitation will be Friday, 2-8 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 1, at 11 AM CT at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Longacre Cemetery in Stevenson. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
