Carl David Richardson, 76 of Bridgeport, AL, died September 28, 2010 at his home.
Carl David was the son of the late Horace Edward and Mary Maurine Ball Richardson born February 7, 1934 in Bridgeport, Alabama. He was a Retired Sargeant First Class with the U.S. Army having served from 1952-1973. He was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. David was a member of the Labor Union Local 846 having worked at TVA Widows Creek and Nickajack Plants.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Evelyn Samples and Bertha Guess.
Survivors include: his devoted wife of 55 years Dulcena Nelle Condra Richardson; children: Patricia (Kenneth) Bundy of Bridgeport, Daryl (Marie) Richardson of Little Rock, AR, Dennis (Linda) Richardson of Bridgeport, Debra (Raymond) Lancaster of Bauxite, AR, Kevin Richardson of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles "Dick" (Jo) Richardson of Stevenson, AL, Emma Warren and Edna Payne both of Bridgeport, AL.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, September 30, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jim Bernard and Rev. Randy Flood. Interment with military honors will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
