David Severs, 62 of Stevenson, AL died March 8, 2011 at his home. Carl David was the son of the late Willie Mae West Severs born December 20, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He had been a district manager for Cumberland Farms Convenient Stores in Florida. He was a member Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoy watching Nascar and football games.
Besides his mother, Mr. Severs was preceded in death by his son David Dewayne Severs and brother Albert Severs.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Rosie Joyce Baugh Severs; daughter Tonya Grider; grandchildren: Kameron Grider, Leslie Grider all of Stevenson, AL and Jessica Severs of FL; great-granddaughter Claire Horne of FL; brother Freddie (Margie) Severs of Lafayette, GA; sister Martha Richey of Chattanooga, TN and other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be 2 PM Thursday, March 10 at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Billy Rankins. Interment will be at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations go toward funeral expenses.
