Carol Ann Baggett's Obituary
Carol Ann Roden Baggett, age 71 of Scottsboro, Alabama went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2015. Carol was born on May 17, 1944 in Scottsboro, Alabama to Edward Leland Roden and Louise Stewart Roden. She was a co-owner of Roden-Baggett Furniture Company for 25 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Scottsboro. She had a tremendous love for missions and was blessed to be able to go to the Dominican Republic and Belize a number of times. She enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren and is known by everyone as “Cookie”. Visitation will be from 12-2 on Thursday, October 29 at First Baptist Church in Scottsboro with a celebration of life following at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. Keith Burnett will be officiating, with Michael Trull and Greg Hart assisting.
She is survived by her son, Michael Robert Baggett (Allison) of Scottsboro, Alabama; daughter, Melissa Freeman (Brad) of Auburn, Alabama; 4 grandchildren, Austin Baggett, Alex Baggett, Meagan Freeman and Gabi Freeman; sister, Debbie Roden Zinser, Huntsville, Alabama; niece, Stacey Robertson, Greenville, South Carolina; nephew, Brett Robertson, Huntsville, Alabama; great nephew, Chase Miller, Greenville, South Carolina; special cousins and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rivers of the World, 3000 Old Alabama Road, Suite 119-402, Alpharetta, GA 30022 in memory of Carol.
