Catherine Condra Coates, 79 of Bridgeport, AL, died February 14, 2014 at her home. Catherine was the daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Ruby Samples Condra, born September 8, 1934 in South Pittsburg, TN. She had worked as a machine operator at the Freeman Knitting Mill in Bridgeport. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Tate Coates; sister Mary Ann Smith and brother Alvin Condra.
Survivors include her children: Gary (Kimberly) Coates, Debbie (David) Freeman, Jackie (Beverly) Coates; grandchildren: Kim (Tony) Coffman, Rusti (Rance) Ruiz, Kelly (Anthony) Freeman, Jacklyn, Erik, Logan and Brandon Coates; 14 Great-Grandchildren; siblings: Virginia Lee, Imogene Troxell, Peggy Cagle, Clyde Condra; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, 2-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 16, at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, AL officiated by Rev. Houston Thomas. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
