Charles Wilson "C.W." Bellomy, Jr., 89 of Bridgeport, AL, died April 21, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Charles was the son of the late Charles Wilson and Leona Bohannon Bellomy, Sr. born February 7, 1927 in Scottsboro, AL. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, graduate of Bridgeport High School and member of First Baptist Church. "C.W." was a retired Bridgeport Utilities Supervisor and volunteer fireman.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Ann Day Bellomy; sisters: Margie Johnson, Lois Inglis and Gloria Chance.
Survivors include his daughter Betty (Roger) Ballard; grandson Erik Coates; step-granddaughters: Amber Madewell, Ashley Helton; 3 great-granddaughters; siblings Merle (Phyllis) Bellamy, Carol Bellomy (Bufford) Swafford; brother-in-law Don Chance; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, 4-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Monday, April 25, at 1 PM CDT at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport officiated by Rev. Houston Thomas, Jr. Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
