David McAllister, 70 of Bridgeport, AL, died May 6, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. Charles David was the son of the late James Richard and Mildred Viola Cargile McAllister born May 17, 1943 in Stevenson, AL. He had worked at Norandal Aluminum and U.S. Gypsum. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and member of Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. David was a member of Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, TN. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Anita Sue "Susie" McAllister Gothard; sisters: Shirley Ann McAllister, Jackye McAllister Headrick and brother Robet E. McAllister.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Brenda Mae Kirk McAllister; son Charles David "Albert" (Stacie) McAllister of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren: Millie Christian Gothard, Canyon Oakley Gothard, Lacey Paige McAllister, Samantha Cates, Amanda Hughes, Ethan Stallion; siblings: Mary Catherine "Kat" (Bayne) Evans, Aneta (Bill) Burton, James Winfred (Annette) McAllister all of Stevenson, AL, Larry Wayne (Joyce) McAllister of Anderson, TN, Kenneth Richard McAllister of Chattanooga, TN, Joe (Amy) McAllister of Scottsboro, AL; Special Family Tina and Bubba Hughes of Bridgeport; nieces, nephews and other relatives
Visitation will be Thursday 11-9 at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL and Friday 10-2 at Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, TN. Funeral service will be Friday, May 9, at 2 PM at the church officiated by Rev. Ronnie Case and Terry Case. Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
