Sending deepest sympathy to Chuck's sisters and brother, as well as to his nieces and nephews. Coach Harris was dearly loved here in Hazlehurst, Jeff Davis County and was never forgotten. He regularly kept in touch with my mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Parrish,who was his co-worker in the schools here in Jeff Davis County. He would call her often and chat about the "good old days." His love and respect for her shall always be a beautiful memory. Chuck didn't meet strangers, and he made friends wherever he went. He was a fount of good advice and a generous confidante to those who were blessed to call him friend. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. May his precious memories be an everlasting source of comfort and consolation.
