Charles Glen Morrison, 62 of Stevenson, AL, passed away July 16, 2012 at the Alvin C.York VA Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Charles was the son of the late Olis Edward and Virginia Beatrice Johnson Morrison born February 23, 1950 in Huntsville, AL. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a retired Senior Instrument Mechanic with TVA Widows Creek Plant where he worked over 30 years. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, the local VFW and American Legion.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Edward Wayne Morrison.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Marilyn Ann Patterson Morrison; children: Amber Joy (Reed) Kent of Hixson, TN, Adam Charles (Kate) Morrison of Deridder, LA; grandchildren: Ryan Charles Morrison, River Reed Kent, Madelyn Grace Morrison; brother: Kenneth Eugene (Rebecca) Morrison.
Military Honors and Graveside Service will be Thursday, July 19, at 10 AM CDT at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Charles Morrison to the Gideon Society. Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL is assisting the family. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
