Charlsie Faye Lawhorne Sloan, 70 of Bridgeport, AL, died July 10, 2010 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where she had been a resident for the last several years.
Charlsie was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Pauline Rowe Lawhorne born September 17, 1939 in Bridgeport, Alabama. She had worked at North Jackson Nursing Home as a dietition.
Besides her parents, Charlsie was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Charles William Sloan, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters: Cathy (DeWayne) Brock of Bridgeport, AL, Charlotte (Rodney) Summerford of Flat Rock, AL, Carol Nunley of Stevenson, AL; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Frances Sloan, Barbara York, Carolyn Chapman, James B. (Neva) Lawhorne all of Bridgeport, AL; many special nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2-8 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Graveside Service will be Monday, July 12, at 2 PM CDT at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
