Christine Fennell Evans, 80 of Hollywood, AL, died Feb. 11, 2010 at Huntsville Women and Children's Hospital. Christine was the daughter of the late Walter and late Gertrude Coffey Fennell born Nov. 19, 1929 in Hollywood, AL. She was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Evans.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Mary Williams of Eaton, NJ, Cathy (Melvin) Hutchins of Stevenson, AL; son Robert Evans, Jr. of Hollywood, AL; two brothers-in-law and three sisters: Ruth (Levert) Harris, Bernice (John) Moore and Shirley McCamey; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She will lie in state at Shiloh P.B. Church in Hollywood, one hour prior to the funeral time (12 noon-1) on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM officiated by Elder Mansel Brown. Interment will be at the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hollywood, AL. Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson and Scottsboro assisted the family.
