Chuck Raulston, 84 of Bridgeport, AL, died October 23, 2010 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Charles Leonard was the son of the late Leonard Samuel and Bertha Jane Mount Raulston born August, 1, 1926 in Bridgeport, AL. He owned Chuck Raulston Construction. Mr. Raulston was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and played football for the Army. He was a member of Doran's Cove Church of Christ, and the local DAV and VFW.
Besides his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his daughters: "Kitty" Raulston Nance and "Prissy" Gurganus Sveum; son Charley Raulston; brother Warren Raulston.
Survivors include: his wife of 44 years Betty Jean Edwards Raulston; children: Victoria (Bobby) Gifford, Becky (Jerry) Bryant; grandchildren: Melissa Raulston, Christopher Raulston, Lindsey (Tommy) Curtis, Conner Bryant; great-grandchildren: Arian and Riley Curtis; brother Hodge (Mary Ruth) Raulston and family.
Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 26, at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Wallace Ballard and Bro. Danny Rader. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
