Claude Douglas Edmonson Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Claude Douglas Edmonson, Sr. was born in Scottsboro, Alabama on November 5, 1950 to the late George and Margaret Edmonson. He departed his life on October 21, 2017. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. Claude worked and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Edmonson; son, Frank Eric Edmonson; and sisters, Cora Stewart and Shelia Elliott.
Claude leaves to cherish his memories his wife Lucille; children, Doug Edmonson and Serinna (Nicholas) Norwood; nine grandchildren, Marquis, Lacari, Miles, Kisha, Lyia, Kaitlyn, Tristan, Claniyha, and Niarya; two great-grandchildren, Jacari and Armani; sisters, Joyce (Walter) Ford, Lisa (Greg) Thorton, Sara Simpson, Eulia Edmonson, and Elizabeth Edmonson; brothers, James Edmonson, John Edmonson, Fred Edmonson, and Carlos Edmonson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Claude will lie in state from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 1pm, and burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
