Claude William Gilley, Sr. 75 of Bridgeport, AL, died September 26, 2015 at his home. Claude was the son of the late Durant and Cordie Whitt Gilley, born March 6, 1940 in Bridgeport, AL. He had worked at Tennessee Alloy as a Boardroom Controller.
Besides his parents, Mr. Gilley is preceded in death by his grandson Chris Gilley; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ellen Gilley of Bridgeport; Claude Gilley, Jr. of Bridgeport, Carol Headrick of Flat Rock, AL, Steve Gilley of Jasper, TN, David (Angela) Gilley of Bridgeport, Timmy (Kathleen) Gilley of Stevenson, AL, Shiryl Godsby of South Pittsburg, TN, Elisha (Billy) Middlebrooks of Flat Rock; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Edith Hammock of Jasper, TN, Shirley Tetter of Gadsden, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be 2 PM CDT Monday, September 28, in the funeral home chapel officiated by Pastor David McCarrell. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
