Connie Joan Guess, 60 of Stevenson, AL, died March 1, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Connie was the daughter of the late Kenneth Ray and Bertha Richardson Guess born November 15, 1956 in Bridgeport, AL. Connie was a Bridgeport High School Graduate Class of 1975. She worked as a veneer finisher at Shaw Hardwood in South Pittsburg and at Shaw Industries in Stevenson over 40 years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and brother Phillip "Nub" Guess.
Survivors include her husband Marvin "Mutt" Franklin Guess; children: Eugene (Kim) Guess, Christie (Steve) Moore all of Stevenson; grandchildren: Kailee Rouse, Roy Guess, Kevin Guess, Christopher Moore, Kristen Moore; siblings: Kenneth (Lyn) Guess, Joe Guess, Terry "Tater" (Vickie) Guess all of Bridgeport, AL, Shelia (Jim) Blevins of Stevenson; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday 5-9 PM, Friday 2-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 4, at 11 AM officiated by Bro. Tommy Wilson. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
