Della Mae Rich Summers, 89 of Stevenson, AL, died February 11, 2010 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. Della Was the daughter of Andy and Mary Etta Payne Rich born August 15, 1920 in Orme, TN. She had been a Jackson County School Bus Driver and had worked at the Town-Ko Restaurant for many years. Della had been a resident at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL for the last couple years.
Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her parents and husband Willie Berry Summers.
She is survived by: children Beatrice (Boyd) McCrary, Gus (Nancy) Summers all of Stevenson, AL, Johnny (Sherry) Summers of Dallas, GA; grandchildren: Lance McCrary of Stevenson; Billy Summers of Bridgeport, AL, Lisa Edmonds of Guntersville, AL, Ryan Summers and Josh Summers both of Stevenson, Mary Sanders of Scottsboro, AL, Brett Kirby of CA; great-grandchildren: B.J. Summers, Kassie Johnson, Dewayne Summers, Cheyenne Jacobs; great-great-grandchildren: Julie Summers, Haley Smith; sister Virginia Etta Rich.
The funeral service was held at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL on Saturday, February 13, at 2 PM CST officiated by Rev. Jerry Roberts followed by burial at Longacre Cemetery.
