Dessie Mae Ellison's Obituary
Mrs. Dessie Mae Ellison was born in Marshall County to the late Mary Elizabeth and Sam Boyd Doss on August 16, 1926. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended. Her Christian life was like the fragrance of a beautiful pink rose, quiet in her manner and pleasant towards everyone.
Mrs. Dessie was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Earl Ellison, Sr; sisters, Mrs. Louise Moore and Mrs. Hazel McCamey; brothers, Mr. James Doss, Mr. Leroy Doss, and Mr. Sam Doss; and son, Mr. Michael W. Ellison, Sr.
Mrs. Dessie, Big Mama, Big Mama Mae leaves to cherish her memories; sons, Minister Earl Ellison, Jr and The Rev. John W. (Alexia) Ellison; sisters, Mrs. Daisy Poe, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd, and Mrs. Joyce Cox; Grandchildren, Dianna, Johanna, Michelle, Jeremiah, Michael Jr., John Adam, Jason Alex, and Joh;
Great-grandchildren, Raheem, Jamal, Trey, Micale, Tomara, Destiny, Takoma, Xuhmya, Xuhlyna, Desi, LaTrey, Kayona, Haven, Giovanni, and John Aries; Daughters in law, Mrs. Alexia Ellison, Mrs. Martha Ellison and Mrs. Rita Ellison; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives way too numerous to name.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
