Dewey Eugene "Doobie" Pace, Jr., 46 of Bridgeport, AL died September 3, 2008 at his home. He had worked as a spinner at Shaw Industries and a construction carpenter. "Doobie" served in the Alabama National Guard.
Mr. Pace, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother Anna Ruth Condra Pace; grandparents: Benjamin and Nellie Harroid, Mandy and Austin Pace; niece Kathrine York.
He is survived by his father Dewey E. Pace, Sr., children Justin Brock (Tanya Upton) Pace and Alicia Ann Pace; grandsons: Brody Layne Pace and Kadyn Brock Pace; former wife Teresa Rich Pace; sister Janett "Nut" Matthews; brother Rickey Dale "RD" Pace, Sr.; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday 5-9 PM CDT, Friday 2-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Saturday, September 6, at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
