Mr. Donald R. "Duck" Hilts 78 of Scottsboro, Al. passed away on Monday May 25, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
Don was born in Springfield, IL. on November 4, 1947 Don was adopted by his loving parents Russell and Madge Hilts in 1949.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Martha Hilts, His four daughters Paula (Tim Randall) Arnold; Laurie (Rob) Strauch, Kathyrn (Rich) Johnson, Michelle (Brian) Gabrielse, one Sister Eleanor Shives, 6 grand kids, 2 grand dogs, and 5 great grand kids 4 sister-in-laws Paula (Pete) Schneider, Rita (Dale) Rients, Mary( Arlin) Tjaden, 8 nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Madge Hilts, and
a niece.
Don loved NASCAR, softball, motorcycles and his family. He was a strong willed man that worked hard and loved his family.
There will be a celebration of life on June 27, 2026 at 18 East 7th Road Dana, IL. 61321 at 1 pm. Don was loved by his friends and family and will be for ever missed.
