Dorothy LaVerne Atkins age 73 of Bridgeport passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 4-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport beginning at 2:00PM with Bro. Josh Myers officiating and burial to follow in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Mrs. Atkins is survived by her husband, Calvin Richard Atkins; Sons, James (Tiffany) Atkins and Alex (Tracey) Atkins; Brother, Jesse Rose; grandchildren, Codie Atkins, Cameron Atkins, Amber Schapatone, Matthew (Kristin) Atkins, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Corum, Amber Atkins, Blake Atkins, Whitney Atkins; 6 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Carney and Katherine Baggett Rose; sister: Margie Howard
