Mrs. Dorothy Jackson's Obituary
Dorothy Jackson of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on March 23, 2023. She was
born on September 6, 1938 to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Wellington. Dorothy was
employed with Lozier Corporations and retired to enjoy life. She was a member St.
Elizabeth Missionary Baptist for over 60 years. She leaves to cherish her memories her
devoted niece Nineveh Clark Wellington Lawrenceville GA; two sisters, Marjorie Jones,
Chattanooga TN; Vickie Wellington Columbus OH; two brothers Terry and Ronnie
Wellington of Scottsboro AL; Goddaughter Dana Thomas of El Paso TX; two bonus God
Daughters Tia Thomas and Kayse Thomas of Arlington TX; three sister- in-laws Edna
Wellington Chattanooga TN Queen Humphreys and Mary Eldridge of Stevenson AL; two
brother-in-laws Clarence Jackson of Akron OH; Shelton Jackson of Scottsboro: three
special nieces Barbara Wellington, Marie Jones and Cynthia Jones of Chattanooga TN.
One special nephew Timothy Jones of Chattanooga TN; Special cousin Sharon Jenkins
of Chattanooga TN; and two special friends Madeana Richardson of El Paso TX; and
Pam Williamson of Scottsboro AL. and a host of other nieces, nephews and other
relatives and dear friends.
The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church of Scottsboro, and Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m.. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Scottsboro, AL.
