Dorothy Mae McCoy "Dot" Williams, 85 of Stevenson, AL, died November 14, 2012 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL. Dot was the daughter of the late John Theodore and Eula Hugh Thornhill McCoy born January 6, 1927 in Yucca, Alabama. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Jackson County Farm Federation and Bridgeport Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John E. McCoy and Jimmy McCoy.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 66 years Jo John Williams; son James Norris (Jeanne) Williams of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren: Shelley Jeanne (Bill) Parsons of Scottsboro, AL, Jamie Ann Williams of Scottsboro, AL, Katie Mae Williams of Atlanta, GA; siblings: Hilda Jo Crabtree of Stevenson, AL, Jimmy McCoy of Stevenson, AL, Stella Houser of FL and Flat Rock, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 17, at 2 PM CT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Gary Tubb. Interment will be in the Stevenson City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dorothy "Dot" Williams to the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
