Dorothy Carolyn Tatum's Obituary
Dorothy Carolyn Tatum 95, passed away peacefully at home on Monday November 11, 2019. She was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Scottsboro.
As a young lady she enjoyed travel worldwide with a career in journalism. She later devoted her time caring for aging parents. She relocated in Scottsboro to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Florence and Edgar Tatum, brother Edgar Tatum Jr. and special friend Evelyn Harper.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Akin, special friends and grandchildren of Ms. Harper: Amanda Proctor, Allen York, Gary Wilson and Cindy Miller.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Methodist Church of Scottsboro in her memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2019 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2019 at 12:30 PM in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Screws officiating.
Burial into Cedar Hill Cemetery will follow after the funeral service.
