Mr. Duon Barry Talley, 70, of Hollywood, AL, passed away, November 7, 2022.
Duon Barry Talley was born on May 12, 1952 to the late Carrie Betty Talley Wellington. He was born and raised in Scottsboro AL. Barry was a well-liked person, had nothing bad to say about anyone. He loved and cherished his family. Barry attended Carver High where later he graduated from Scottsboro High School. He was well known as “fast as lighting” on the Football field, and the Basketball court. He has a record that he still holds to this day, some may be broken, but he has others that not even his brother's or nephew could break. After high school he went to Tuskegee to finish out his dream of playing football. After attending Tuskegee, he later went into the Navy until Honorable Discharge and from there he went to work at Lozier for 15yrs to his retirement.
Duon Barry Talley was preceded in death by his mother Carrie Betty Talley Wellington; two sisters, Jacqueline Yvette Talley, and Lisa McCamey; his loving two brothers, Trent and Tony Wellington; his niece, Elendora Ronsita Talley Fennell; his nephew Little Hit Man Tony Trimew; Aunt Lila McQueen, and Cousin, Vincent McQueen.
He leaves behind three sisters, Marie Davis (Jerry Davis) Scottsboro, AL, Victoria Wellington, Columbus, Ohio, Gloria (Bopete) Liggins, of Stevenson, AL, four brothers, Ronnie (Sherthia) Wellington, Cedar Town, GA, Terry (Robin) Wellington) Huntsville, Al, Tracy (Amy) Wellington, Scottsboro AL, Corey (Yolanda) Wellington, Guntersville, AL, Uncles, Billy (Becky) McCamey, JC (Connie) McCamey, and Bob McCamey, all from Scottsboro, AL, he has a host of Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
To celebrate his life, the family will receive friends, Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro, AL. A Homegoing Celebration will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Rudder Funeral Home.
