Earl Russell Allison, 87 of Stevenson, AL, died December 12, 2013 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. He was the son of the late Thomas Russell and Viola Lee Grider Allison born August 12, 1926 in Stevenson, AL. Earl was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a farmer and member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Allison had been a resident at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation for the last year.
Besides his parents, Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his siblings: Charles Allison and Loetta Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Juanita Elizabeth Parks Allison; children: Bruce (Teresa) Allison of Section, AL, Jan (Johnny) McMillan of Russellville, KY; granddaughters: Ashlie (Jeff) Blalack of Chattanooga, TN, Allison Johns of Nashville, TN; great-grandsons: Brady and Ben Blalack; brother: Harold (Carolyn) Allison of Guntersville, AL; sister JoAnn (Jim) Mercer of Brentwood, TN; and other relatives.
Visitation will be two hours prior to funeral service 12-2 PM CDT on Friday, December 13, at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Josh Posey and Rev. Bill Stone. Interment will be in the Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
