Earnest Earl Edwards, 70 of Flat Rock, AL, died April 6, 2013 at his home. Earnest was the son of the late William Macklin and Lucy Chisenall Edwards born March 28, 1943 in Fabius, Alabama. He had been a steel welder.
Besides his parents, Earnest was preceded in death by his siblings: Marcell Edwards, Billy Edwards, Harold Glenn Edwards, Bernice Evans and Kathy Flowers.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Ann Talley Edwards of Flat Rock; Earnie Edwards of Flat Rock, Terry Edwards of Hollywood, AL, Luanne (Patrick) Serge of Flat Rock, Betty Jo Edwards of Scottsboro, AL, Jeremy (Robyn) Edwards of Macedonia, AL, Michelle (Steve) Fortner of Dawson; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Betty (Buford) Mullins and Bobbie Edwards of Hollywood, AL, Peggy (Mike) Cook of Tuscumbia, Jerry Edwards of Scottsboro, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Monday, April 8, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. James Johnson and Bro. Wayne Kirk. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
