Eddie Joe Murphy, age 68 of Hollywood, AL, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Bergman; daughter, Christy (Thomas) Kinard of Section; sons, Donald Murphy of Henagar, and Joey Murphy of Ft. Payne; grandchildren, Derek (Samantha) Murphy, Jordan Trey (Evelin) Murphy, Emilie Murphy, Justin Murphy, and Jay Kinard; great-grandchildren, Krysleigh Grace Owens and Cason Ryder Murphy; sisters, Betty Harris and Stephen Cason, and Doris Tucker; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, H.T. Murphy, and his grandparents. Visitation for Mr. Murphy will be Friday, October 6 from 10am-12:30pm, with the funeral service beginning at 12:30pm at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro. Bro.
