Edna Gamble (Cox)'s Obituary
Edna Earle Cox Gamble, 84 of Flat Rock, AL passed away May 25, 2008 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Edna had worked as a sales clerk in several department stores in Chattanooga, TN. She attended Sulpher Springs Church.
Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Ernest E. Gamble; parents William Lee and Viva Eaton Cox ; granddaughter Melissa "Missy" Ward.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Watson of Chattanooga, TN, David (Beverly) Gamble of Soddy Daisy, TN, Mark Gamble of Section, AL Darrell (Mary) Gamble of Signal Mountain, TN; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Juanita Sherrill of Lincoln City, OR, William Lee Cox of Chickamauga, GA and Jenene Childress of Scottsboro, AL.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 28, at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Eddie Reachard. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL
